Volume Billing

Prerequisites

  • Please refer to the General Pricing Rules and General Lifecycle Rules to understand subscription-based and pay-as-you-go billing models.

  • Ensure you have provisioned an instance in advance to avoid idle resources and unnecessary costs.

  • You can manually destroy volume-level resources, which will result in permanent release of the resource and deletion of data. This operation is irreversible.

System Disk Billing Description

In LIA-Console, the billing method for the operating system disk is aligned with the associated instance and is determined upon creation. It cannot be changed afterward:

  • If the instance uses a subscription model, the operating system disk will be billed in the same subscription cycle.

  • The cost of the operating system disk is included in the overall bill of the instance—no separate management or renewal is required.

  • Once created, the billing model for both the instance and its operating system disk cannot be modified.

Note: The operating system disk cannot be renewed separately. Its lifecycle is fully synchronized with the corresponding instance.

Data Disk Billing Description

In LIA-Console, data disks adopt a pay-as-you-go billing model, suitable for flexible resource management:

  • Billing begins immediately after the data disk is successfully created, regardless of whether it is attached to an instance.

  • Charges are calculated on a monthly basis.

  • Even if a disk is not connected to any instance, fees will continue to accrue as long as the disk remains active.

  • Data disks can be attached or detached at any time and can also be destroyed independently.

Note: To avoid unexpected charges, be sure to promptly delete unused data disks.
